The deJonge Rents were in town!

Mom & Dad deJonge came and visited here in Haiti for a week and then we headed over to the DR for a week. We had a great time with them. I think they were a little overwhelmed at first but they got the hang of it. We also spent many a night playing Settlers with Dad, don't worry we put him in his place despite what he may tell you :)

Here we are up at Fort Jacques, Mom & Dad's fist day here, they look a little tense don't they?

Visitors

So I think that this is almost it.... some touch ups need to be done and some more little things painted but the majority is almost done. Thanks to Andrew, Sherri and Nicole for the original design and for the team members who made changes and suggestions to improve the look!
Cadeau, Samuel and Randy posing for the camera... you can see Port au Prince and a little bit of the ocean and the mountains in the background.Erin Kottelenberg and Jaron Gritter came for a little visit. Mostly to let us destroy them in Cities and Knights :) but we got a bit of work done while they were hereWe gave the school a total cleaning, stained a bunch of benches and tables, cemented the back corner for a waiting area for the clinic, painted some more of the school and organized all of the school supplies. The guys helped us out HUGE as well..... staining the benches while we cleaned the inside... almost ready for school on Monday! If you ever need anything organized or cleaned just call Erin... the before picture of the closet...The after Picture....

And.... Santa even comes to Haiti... we're not sure how well the sleigh works where there is no snow... although it almost looks white here with all the dust, it's been over a month since the last rain!

The Before and In Progress

We've got a team of 10 joining us for the next week. They all arrived safely on the weekend. 4 from Abbotsford B.C. and 6 from Canada. We are having a GREAT time with them. Just thougt I'd post two pictures to show you the progress they've made in two days! Please pray that we may continue to have a blessed week together and that the work may be enjoyable and the fellowship sweet, and that God's love may shine through it all.
